Long and Short

Throughout pen history, there have been a few pens of the Long and Short variety.

This version is modeled after the Diamond Point Long and Shorts from the thirties.

When closed, the barrel of the pen is almost completely inside the cap (the Short).

To write with the pen, the cap is removed and then screwed onto the other end of the barrel (the Long).

At the request of a customer, I made a base for the pen, When closed, the pen is screwed into the base to keep it upright and prevent it from rolling away.

When in use, the pen can be set upright into the base.
